A scene in my book "Ashes" by Ilsa J. Bick is really grabbing my attention. Right now, one of the main characters named Tom is dying of a bloody bullet wound and bite wounds from the brain-zapped zombies that has ran into him and Alex in the woods. Although Tom is very weak, he's still hanging onto life by a thread and its Alex's job to go out and look for him some help. Alex is in a a rush and on the move but who knows if she will prevail with all the obstacles she faces like a lack of food, wolves and the threat of people trying to kill her. one of the quotes that grabbed my attention was "She was awoke,Tom's skin was clammy. His fever raged and his heart was rabbiting his chest, and she knew she couldn't wait any longer" because Alex has to make the difficult choice of finding help in a dangerous unknown place.
